UX DESIGN / UI DESIGN / VISUAL DESIGN
I started this project with a desk research for best practices for high-converting landing pages and how users interact with them.
lo-fi ideation
After research, I sketched some ideas for the page structure that would base the digital wireframe. This process helps me quickly try different layouts and notice things that could or could not work.

I take notes on the sides predicting mobile behavior and possible functionalities, animations and content for the elements.

wireframes
By recreating my ideas from paper to digital wireframes, I was able to work around some technical issues and make structural adjustments for both desktop and mobile screen.

This preliminary version was also sent to the stakeholders for content purposes, as they could start working on the preliminary content to fill the page.
As the desktop version had a more complex layout, it was important to create a wireframe to check how those elements would work on the mobile version as well.
final design

style guide
Using dark colors with a bright and contrast magenta, we were able to sell the identity of the event as exciting and modern. I opted for the KD2 typeface, that mixes rounded corners and angles that brings out a lot of personality on bigger sizes, but maintain readability whithin smaller sizes.

For image treatment, I chose black and white with pictures a color splash of the main contrast magenta. It was important to have pictures, as people connect better when they see real people, but they had a secondary role, so the black and white choice composed better with the layout and preserved the main color palette.

takeaways
As a designer, it's important to balance creative freedom and project constrains, keeping in mind the whole product within every decision. Because of an open briefing, this project allowed me to practice my visual design skills and create my own constrains according to research and data collected along the way.
The result was fun, bold and modern-looking as expected of a social media event. I really enjoyed working on this project and the knowledge I acquired from it.
Even a one-page project such as a landing page require careful research and understanding how can every element bring value to the business and the user.
